Yeah i know, the gap since my last post has crossed the previous dubious mark of 20 days. its been 22 days precisely since my last post. Well, i blame myself partly. I’m back finally from my Bohemian journey up in hills of Uttarakhand. I have achieved one offbeat thing this year. Travelling solo.
It had always been my dream to do a solo trip. When i was in college or TCS i didnt really have the option of doing that. But after quittin TCS for good, i had a good 2 weeks to my disposal. I had made up the itinery after looking up the net, but it needed atleast 12 days for a prim and propah trip to Valley Of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib, the train travel to and from Haridwar consuming almost a third of the trip. But when i got a mailer from TCMS saying that the course was commencing on the 4th of August, i knew that it was now or never. I asked a couple of my friends, then a cousin, but things didnt seem to work out. So i decided to do it solo.
Its been one heck of a trip, and has given me countless memories to last a lifetime. I am obviously gonna write about the experiences soon, but this post is just like a come-back post. Now im back to the grind called life. In about a weeks time my course will start, so the hectic life will be back.
Its been a lazy 4 days since i have returned. Its raining inconspicuously since the last 4 days. Yesterdays rain brought faint memories of 26/7, strangely yesterday was just a day after that date. A lot has happened in all this while.
The Govt finally won the vote of confidence, but at the cost of humiliating the Indian Democracy around the globe. 3 BJP members waved wads of 1000Rs. notes in the House of the Parliament, claiming them to be given by the Congress guys to abstain from voting. I didnt witness it live though i can understand how shocking it mustve been. So far it hasnt been proved if the Congress guys really gave the BJP fellas the money, as they claim to have taped.
The thing that really impressed me in all this imbroglio was the speech by Omar Abdullah. He’s one fire brand politician i really admire. Hes straight forward, and unlike other politicians will answer a question to the point, rather than beating around the bush. Plus he’s young, and really knows the pulse of the youth of the nation, a very refreshing change from the haggard politicos we are all so familiar with. Heres his speech
Dosent the speech just stir you up?!
On the other hand India is being pounded by serial bomb blasts. First it was Bangalore on Friday the 25th, the it was Ahmedabad the next day. Bangalores tally of blasts was 7 whereas that of Ahmedabad was 16 – which also happens to be the maximum no.of serial blasts at the same place, on a single day, anywhere in the world. It is scary, but life is going on. Its become a cliche, but the terrorists’ ploy of flaring up people communally dosent seem to be working. Having said that, its a matter of utter shame that these kinda serial blasts have become a routine in India. Soft states are being targetted day in and day out. All we can do is sit and wait for the next blast to occur. The politicians as usual are no good. BJP like a shameless person, still continues to play the blame game. This party is never gonna grow up man!
Take Care
